NORWEGIAN LANGUAGE COURSES
Caritas Information Centre has started offering Norwegian courses since 2011 in various forms beside its main goal as an info center. The courses start the first week of September. They are primarily run by volunteers and are non-profit and are meant to help migrant workers to succeed in Norway. Caritas does not provide any kind of official examination.
There are three different courses:
A1, begginer course: drop in, free of charge;
A2/B1 course: 40-hour course over 10 weeks which aims to prepare participants for the official Norwegian exams. Includes test for determination of the level and progres.
Working Norwegian: 10-hour course over seven weeks which aims to strengthen both spoken and writing abilities tied directly to relevant industries and employment. It also includes basic lessons in safety and Norwegian Working Environment.
Caritas Info Centre in downtown Oslo will offer all courses in the evenings, while St. John in Groruddalen will offer A2/B1 level courses during the day. More information about the course offerings can be found here.
